Referring to the recent twin terrorist attacks in Tehran in which 17 innocent Iranians were martyred, Hamid Tayyebi told IQNA that such shameful acts of terrorism will not weaken Iranians’ unity and their determination to struggle against hegemonic powers and their cronies.
He also offered his condolences over the martyrdom of Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mehdi Taqavi, an ACECR member and a former managing director of IQNA, in the attacks.
Tayyebi described Hojat-ol-Islam Taqavi as a servant of the Quran and a revolutionary member of the ACECR.
Hojat-ol-Islam Taqavi was martyred in the Wednesday attack on Iran’s parliament.
At least 17 people were killed and more than 40 injured in Tehran on Wednesday, when gunmen attacked the parliament and the Mausoleum of the late Founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini on Wednesday.
The Daesh Takfiri terrorist group claimed responsibility for the near-simultaneous assaults.
On Thursday, the Iranian Intelligence Ministry released the names of the five terrorists who were killed after carrying out the deadly attacks in Tehran.
