Former IQNA Chief Martyred in Terrorist Attack Commemorated
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A ceremony was held in the holy city of Qom, 150 km south of Tehran, on Friday to commemorate Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mehdi Taqavi, former managing director of the International Quran News Agency.
Hojat-ol-Islam Taqavi was martyred during a terrorist attack on the Iranian parliament in June 2017.
The Daesh (ISIL or ISIS) terrorist group claimed responsibility for that attack, and another one at the mausoleum of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini, on June 7, 2017.
