The car caught fire during the ongoing clashes in the African country, al-Naylayn website reported.
After it was extinguished, a copy of the Holy Quran was recovered from the car.
While everything in the car was burned, the copy emerged intact. There was just some damage to its cover.
Nearly 7,500 people have been killed in the war in Sudan that erupted on April 15, 2023, according to a conservative estimate.
Sudan’s army and the RSF have been fighting over a power struggle between army chief, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and his former deputy, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, who heads the paramilitary force.
