AL-Quds (IQNA) – The head of the Palestinian Preachers Association underlined the need for formation of a regional alliance to confront the Israeli regime’s acts of aggression and Islamophobia.

Head of the Palestinian Preachers Association Salman Abu Tariq al-Saudi

Speaking to IQNA in an interview, Salman Abu Tariq al-Saudi referred attacks on mosques and Palestinian properties and acts of desecration of the Quran by Zionist forces and settlers, saying the first step to counter these moves is abandoning concession and all so-called peace agreements with the occupation regime.

The next move should be the formation of a regional alliance against the Zionist regime, he said.

By desecrating the Quran, attacking mosques and Palestinian homes and properties and other provocative moves, the occupation regime seeks to assess reactions from Arab and Muslim societies, al-Saudi said.

He underlined that the Palestinian nation has all options on the table for confronting the Zionist terrorism and occupation.

The people of Palestine will not cease their struggle and resistance until occupiers are forced out of all Palestinian lands, the cleric stressed.

He called on Arab regimes in the region to wake up from their neglect regarding the first Qibla of Muslims (Al-Aqsa Mosque) and the Zionist aggressions, criticizing the governments of countries like the Unite Arab Emirates, Morocco and Sudan that have normalized ties with the Tel Aviv regime.

Al-Saudi also called on Muslims and Arabs to continue holding rallies in condemnation of the Israeli regime’s terrorist crimes and unite in demanding an end to normalization.

He urged other wolrd people to join the campaign to boycott Israeli products and deal an economic blow to the occupation regime.

Elsewhere in his remarks, al-Saudi slammed Western governments for their support for the Israeli regime that has emboldened the occupation regime to continue its atrocities and acts of aggression.

Last week, a group of settlers stormed the village of Urif south of the city of Nablus in the northern West Bank.

The attackers then forced their way into a local mosque and vandalized it before ripping the pages of a copy of the Muslim holy book and throwing it into the street.

Such acts of sacrilege as well as Zionists’ destruction of Palestinian-owned structures and their daily carnage of defenseless Palestinian people, including women and children, have angered Muslims worldwide and drawn widespread condemnations.
