The attack came as Afghan people were mourning for dozens of people who were killed in a series of explosions on Thursday.
According to Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid, at least 33 people, including children, were killed in the terrorist attack and 43 other people sustained injuries.
Condemning the attack, the Taliban official vowed to bring the perpetrators of the attack to justice.
Thursday attack on a mosque in Mazar-i-Sharif killed at least 31 worshippers. Daesh (ISIS or ISIL) terrorists claimed responsibility for the attack.
That was the second major attack on the Shia Hazara community in Afghanistan in a week.
