Quran Competition Held in Bahrain
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Dhikr Hakim Quranic society in Bahrain organized the 17th edition of its annual Quran competition last week.
The contest began in Manama, the capital, on Friday, which marked the birth anniversary of Imam Jawad (AS), Qafqn.org website reported.
Several religious and cultural programs were held on the auspicious occasion during the opening ceremony.
The motto of this edition was “Certainly the remembrance of Allah is the greatest” (Surah al-Ankabut, verse 45).
The competition was organized in different categories in three nights.
The categories included recitation, memorization and interpretation of the Quran for teenagers and adults.
There were also contests on Quranic calligraphy and photography.
