Defending Palestine Religious Obligation: World Muslim Scholars Union Chief
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The president of the World Muslim Scholars Union underlined the need for defending the rights of the Palestine people.
In an address to a webinar on Quds and rejection of normalization of ties with the Zionist regime, Ahmed al-Raissouni said it is a religious duty of all Muslims to defend the Palestinian nation, Anadolu Agency reported.
He added that peace will not be materialized by normalization of ties with the criminal Israeli regime.
Peace will be achieved by helping the Palestinians regain their rights, the scholar stressed.
The virtual conference was held on the weekend in Istanbul, with the participation of personalities and thinkers from 70 countries.
Organizers said the webinar aimed to enhance dialogue on the role of the Islamic Ummah in supporting the Palestinian struggle and countering the plots hatched to undermine the cause of Palestine.
