Student Quran Competition Underway in Egypt

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A national Quran and Islamic competition for students in Egypt has been underway since September 14.


According to Al-Wafd website, the competition is a part of the programs of the “University Youth” Week which began on September 12 and continues until September 17.





The week is held by the Central Office for Cultural Programs affiliated to the country’s Ministry of Sports and Youths.





Suez Canal University in Ismailia city and Egypt’s Ministry of Higher Education have cooperated in the organization of the program.





Students from 25 universities including Zagazig, Kafrelsheikh, Minia, Banha, Suez Canal, Fayoum, Al-Azhar, Alexandria, Suez, South Valley, Beni-Suef, Damanhour, Port Said, Minufiya, Helwan, Sohag, Damietta, Cairo, Tanta, Assiut, Aswan, Ain Shams and Mansoura University and Sadat Academy for Management Sciences are taking part in the competition.





Usama Al-Azhari, member of Presidential Consultative Committee, Jamal Farouq, Dean of the Islamic Dissemination Faculty of Al-Azhar University and Amr Mustafa Al-Wardani, director of education office in Egypt’s Dar-Al-Fatwa, are members of the organizing committee of the national Quranic event.
