Interfaith Dialogue Planned in Jordan

A seminar titled “Dialogue and Friendship among Divine Religions” will be held on May 14 in Jordan.


According to Al-Dastoor newspaper, the seminar will be hosted by the Jordanian Society for Thought and Dialogue.

The program is planned to coincide with the trip by Pope Francis I, leader of the Catholic Church, to Jordan on May 24.

Political figures, scholars, intellectuals and media activists have been invited to attend the seminar.

Hayil Davoud, Jordan's Minister of Endowment and Islamic Affairs, Dr, Abdul Salam Al-Abbadi, the country’s former Minister of Awqaf, Raouf Abu Jaber, head of Central Orthodox Council in Jordan and Palestine, Nabil Haddad, director of Jordanian Center for Religious Coexistence Studies and Raf’at Badr, Director of Catholic Center for Studies and Media in Jordan will be among the participants at the program.
