According to Al-Ittihad newspaper, the opening ceremony of the mosque was attended by Abdullah Khalifa Ya’rouf Al-Sabusi, director of the office as well as a number of other officials.
The two-story mosque has been built on an area of more than ten thousand square meters. It has a prayer hall, public library, residences for imams of mosque, and parking lots for 153 cars.
Constructed based on Islamic architecture, the mosque provides different services to the people of the region.
It has two 43-meter-high minarets, 13 small domes and walls decorated with Islamic illuminations and Quranic calligraphy.
