Students Quran Competition Starts in Egypt

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A national Quran memorization and recitation competition for students of Al-Azhar University and its affiliate institutes started on Saturday.

 

According to elbalad.news, the university’s General Office of Quranic Affairs is holding the competition in Zagazig, the capital city of Sharqia Governorate, from  November 16 to 29. 

The Quranic event has been organized under the supervision of Mohammad Al-Sarvi, director of Al-Azhar’s branch in the governorate.

It aims to promote religious education of the students based on Quranic teachings.

Developing the students’ skills in Quran recitation and Tajweed principles is also an objective of the competition.
