Islamic Unity Conference Participants Pay Tribute to Imam Khomeini

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Participants at the 33rd International Islamic Unity Conference, underway in Tehran, visited the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini (RA) south of the Iranian capital on Wednesday.

 

They laid wreaths of flowers on the tomb of Imam Khomeini to pay tribute to the late founder of the Islamic Republic.

The conference marks the birth anniversary of Islam’s Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Themed “Ummah unity in defending the al-Aqsa Mosque,” the event started on Thursday and will run until November 16, with 350 personalities from 93 countries in attendance.

It is held annually in an effort to lay the ground for stronger unity and solidarity among Muslims and provide solutions for their problems.
