Man Held for Desecrating Quran in Pakistan

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The city police in Peshawar, Pakistan, arrested a person on charge of desecrating the Holy Quran and a mosque in the limits of Khazana police station on Monday.

A police official told Dawn that the accused was held while he was setting fire to carpets in a mosque and copies of Holy Quran.

The official said that the incident took place in Ghari Khan Baba area.

Peshawar is the capital of the northern Pakistani province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
