Teachings of Imam Hussein (AS) Guiding Light for Humankind

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A senior Kashmiri politician said that sacrifices of Karbala martyrs have a universal message of patience, determination, fortitude, and devotion which is a must to achieve salvation in this world and hereafter.

Molvi Imran Raza Ansari was speaking at a day-long remembrance function held to pay tributes to Imam Hussein (AS) and other Karbala martyrs held at Mirgund Pattan Imambara Abul Fazal Abass in Srinagar.

Ansari said that the Karbala tragedy is a lesson for all well-meaning persons that the truth ultimately prevails upon falsehood. He said that Imam Hussein (AS) taught an undying lesson through his martyrdom at Karbala that dignity, truth and justice supersede everything else in life.

He said the teachings of Imam Hussein (AS) are a shining example of forbearance and tolerance and a guiding light for entire humanity.

He further urged people to follow the footprints of the exalted Imam to lead a dignified life.

The remembrance function started with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by elegies. A procession was also carried out in which men, women and children participated to pay homage to the Martyrs of Karbala.
